HIRING CARS ONLINE

Monday, August 18th, 2008 | Travel with No Comments »

I somehow got estranged from my husband at the Oporto airport. I did not even have a single penny to take me to our resort. I did not know what to do & was completely at a loss. I broke down & was in tears within no time. I cried, “The god damn cell phone is also not working now! Now, how do I get in touch with George? How worried he will be! God, save me.” I was sitting all by myself when an angel came to my rescue in the form of a middle-aged woman. She carefully listened to my predicament & immediately dialed for the USA car hire services. She sat by my side consoling me & gave me a sandwich to eat. She told me about the authenticity & punctuality of car hire direct.

I had stopped by the time she finished narrating her experience of cheap car hire portugal. It was then that the car arrived & I got in it waving her a cordial good bye. I was dropped safely at the resort & was relieved to find my husband frantically trying to lodge a police comment. My everlasting faith in car hire had been established by then.

Thursday, April 17th, 2008 | Travel with No Comments »

Are you in the process of relocating? If you are and if you are moving hundreds or thousands of miles away, you may be curious as to what you should do with your vehicle. Since there is a good chance that you want to take your vehicle with you, as opposed to selling it and purchasing a new one at your destination, you may be curious as to what your auto transport options are.

One of the easiest ways to transport your vehicle a long distance is to drive it. With that said, before taking this approach be sure to have your vehicle inspected by a professional mechanic. Is it safe and dependable enough to drive long distances? If you do decide to drive your car, be sure to pack it with your belongings. Put as many items as you safely can inside your car or truck. This may reduce your expenses if you are using a professional moving company.

Although hiring the services of professional movers is an option that many individuals and families choose, many also choose to rent their own moving trucks or vans. Many find this approach easy and cost effective. If this is your preferred method of moving, did you know that you can tow your vehicle? Many rental companies not only allow you to rent moving trucks, but many also have the equipment needed to tow your vehicle behind one of those trucks.

Finally, you also have the option of using an auto transport company. This option is nice if you are flying to your destination and relying on professional movers to get your belongings there. When choosing an auto transport company, be sure to choose one where your vehicle will be loaded on a truck, as opposed to driven. This will reduce the wear and tear on your vehicle. Choosing a good vehicle transportation company can save you alot of trouble and frustration.

MORE TO ORLANDO THAN JUST DISNEYLAND

Monday, January 14th, 2008 | Travel with No Comments »

Millions of people travel to Orlando every year, not just to visit Disneyland, but to also see Universal Studios and Sea World. However, many never get to see the other side of Orlando. Although Orlando is home to 3 of the largest amusement parks in the world, there is still plenty of other things to do without breaking your budget.

The Kissimmee Rodeo is the largest rodeo of its kind in the South Eastern United States. It is a great place to take children or even to entertain adults. If you are in Orlando it should not be missed.

It is often forgotten that Florida is home to many natural beauties, including Blue Spring State Park, which is between Orlando and Daytona Beach. Although it is an inland park, they have 153 manatees, or sea cows.

You should also not that it is not necessary to stay in a cheap motel in the Orlando area. Florida has the largest amount of private villas and vacation homes for rent and the prices can fit the lifestyle of almost all people. It is better to make your vacation good with a beautiful view of the beach and ocean while you stay in a spectacular private villa.

NEW REGULATIONS AT CANADIAN-AMERICAN BORDER

Friday, December 28th, 2007 | Travel with No Comments »

Starting next week, citizens of the United States and Canada wishing to cross the border from Canada to the U.S will be required to produce two documents. These documents are a proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate, and government issued identification, such as a driver’s license or passport.

This new move comes as a means of regulating movement in and out of the country. Previously no proof of citizenship was needed. All some one had to do was declare that they were either American or Canadian and that would be sufficient.

Many American businesses are concerned with these new laws now. They say that these laws will decrease the number of tourists from Canada come to the United States. Many shi resorts will suffer from these new regulations, as many Canadians cross the borders in order to go on a ski vacation there. Businesses are also concerned that these new laws will create large back ups at the borders, maybe even hours long. This happened last summer when small changes to the border laws created mayhem at the borders.

Almost 50 percent of skiers to Vermont come from across the Canadian border. The ski lodge flies the American and Canadian flag and they also accept Canadian currency.
